TCPD Pre-Alpha Update #6! Grinding & driving upgrades + level changes!


Hey everybody, there's a new build for TCPD!
This one focuses on improving the vehicle controller and some level updates.

🔳 Latest Changes

  • New traffic system!
    • Brand new traffic system that covers almost all roads on both maps
    • Traffic is now more intelligent & interesting: they stops at lights, use their vehicle lights, emit crash sounds & horn noises, etc.
  • Vehicle controller updates!
    • Grinding is much more stable - no more falling into the mesh & dismount is more predictable
    • Suspension has been further stabilized when landing/coming off of jumps & going over small bumps in the levels
    • Vehicle now has brake & reverse lights
    • Acceleration curve has been updated to be more "realistic"
    • Max boost mechanic removed
    • Vehicle audio updated to be more dynamic & better balanced
    • Eliminate camera turning/wobble in air when tricking
  • Level design updates!
    • More pickup/dropoff spots for passenger delivery mode
    • More building detail & smoothed out landscape areas
    • Grind splines moved to center of the road in most areas for better flow
    • More destructible props
    • Convert some geometry to static meshes for better performance (LATC)
  • Multiplayer updates!
    • Add a version check when searching for games
    • Don't allow cheats in multiplayer
  • General changes:
    • Resize pickup passenger ring
    • Add SFX & sound attenuation to destructible props
