Hey everyone, there's a new build of TCPD available now!

🔳 Latest Changes (7/31/23 build)
- Brand new checkpoint race mode!
- Can you beat the top time in LATC's first checkpoint race? It's going to require a lot of boost and some well timed jumps!
- LATC keeps evolving!
- Updated open campus area beside power plant with new water tower and some fancy loop sculptures.
- Finished out most parking lots and added vehicles to all parking garages.
- Lots of bushes and more detail in various areas.
- Added out of bounds volumes in water areas.
- Add corner stores near hotel and shopping alley.
- More vert ramps and other various ramps with more ways to access rooftops.
- Fixed starting positions
- Vehicle controller is the best it's ever been!
- Landings are a LOT more stable and less likely to break combos/bounce around when not landing on all 4 wheels
- Grind detachment (jumping) is 95% reliable now and will not slingshot you to the side anymore
- General fixes/updates!
- Fixed out of bounds text pop up (and combos now cancel when respawning)
- Fixed issue in main menu where drift car's trunk was in the air
- Freecam is a little easier to control
🔳 Near-term focus (#IndieRacersFestival Build, Sep. 1-5)
There's so many areas of the game I want to continue building out and improving, but next areas of focus are:
- Fixing known issues:
- Car sometimes flips out when wheelying and hitting curbs
- Grind attach sometimes auto-fails the combo/detaches
- Talking pedestrians glide when moving out of vehicle path
- Vehicle sometimes gets slowed down by pedestrians
- Pedestrians/other objects can obscure camera view
- Keep iterating on LATC
- Update out of bounds areas and kill zones
- Ensuring proper/simple collisions where necessary
- More hittables/destructibles with sound and visual effects
- More distinct delivery spots and more passengers
- Expand some corners of the map
- Vehicle + gameplay improvements:
- Vert ramp physics could use some work
- Prototype skeletal vehicle for better non-trick animations
- Prototype a few new tricks
- Better UI and ratings calculations for taxi mode
- Fix raycast issues when colliding with walls
- Game mode selection improvements...and maybe a new multiplayer mode for #IndieRacersFestival 2023!
